Rebecca & Nigel | Fitzroy Inn Historic Retreat Wedding

It was an absolute treat to photograph Bec and Nigel’s Southern Highlands wedding. This was the first time for me shooting at the Berida Hotel, where Bec and her bride tribe prepped for the day ahead, and Fitzroy Inn Historic Retreat, where the cermony and reception took place. Both venues offer plenty of great backdrops for incredible images so there’s no need to travel offsite.

The bright, airy Grand Suite at the Berida Hotel had an elegant 1920’s vibe with fantastic natural light, excellent for prep photos. The hotel’s common areas were a striking contrast. Decorated in bold, opulent colours, they provided the perfect moody contrast for Bec’s pre-wedding portrait images.

The wedding was held in the gardens of the Fitzroy Inn, with the reception in the silk-lined marquee in the grounds. The manicured gardens and the historic buildings provided no end to the great photo locations on this perfect spring day.
